Trust in Him and NOT My Own understanding

God's Word has so many comforting verses in it. I've been doing a word study on "trust" and one of the verses that I read this morning is an all time favorite of mine:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

It really hit home because I was struggling with an area in our lives that Anthony and I have been praying about and waiting for God to bring to pass. I was frustrated because we are going to have to wait longer and in all honsety I am tired of waiting . I really thought that it might work out right now thinking that the timing was perfect, but of course that was in "my own understanding." So now I realize that I just need to trust Him and stop trying to "understand" the situation- a whole lot easier said than done I might add!!

All of this led to the verses below. I can leave it at just trusting in Him because He is God; He knows the end from the beginning; all my days were layed out before I was even born so He knows when this will actually take place; and of course, who better to trust in then the Creator Himself. I truly want His will to come about in our lives in the perfect timing. I just have to keep reminding myself to trust in Him and allow Him to direct my steps.

For I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like Me,

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
