Paige is 11 Months!

*She stands a lot on her own, letting go of what she used to pull up on. This skill has quickly progressed to taking steps on her own! I think she’ll be walking by her birthday.

*When she sits on the floor she often crosses her legs and will also rock herself onto her knees and play with toys that way.

*She only says “yeah” now. It’s so funny to ask her questions. She responds with “yeah.” She is such an agreeable child based on our conversations.

*She is up to 6 teeth and is the most bothered of the three when it comes to teething. The boys would wake up with new teeth not having any sleep issues with it. She has some rough nights on occasion where I know they are bothering her.

*Her hair is growing in the back but it is really slow to come in on top. She no longer leaves the bow bands on so it’s going to be a while before she wears bows again.

*She gives kisses. Wet ones!

*Baths and the Crazy Coupe car are some of her favorites

*Her favorite foods include bananas, grapes, cheese, gold fish, and tater tots. She loves to eat and still enjoys baby food but really likes to pick food up herself. She sings while she eats and can get pretty loud!

*She’s getting squirmier by the day

*Shoes and sock don’t stay on very long

*She adores her brothers and their toys. Most of her rattles etc have lost their appeal. She prefers to chew on superheros and any other random toys they leave on the floor. She’s also taken an interest in eating our board books. I guess since the books have been around for a while they are wearing out. She always manages to find some places on them to bite the cardboard off.

Paige is 10 Months!

*She wears a size 3 diaper and 12-18 month clothes

*She has said “hi” a few times

*She had the stomach bug again. She lost a pound and took a week to recover. Thankfully we avoided a trip to the ER!

*She often reminds us of a dog- she crawls with toys in her mouth, eats food that is under the table, begs for food if someone else is eating or the snack cabinet is opened, pulls stuff out of the trash, and plays fetch with herself

*She sleeps through the night!!! She is in bed by 9 and wakes up around 6:30

*She naps twice a day and nurses 4 times a day. She has learned to put herself to sleep for naptime with minimal crying!

*She loves shopping and smiles at everyone she meets. People always comment on how happy she is and she really is. The older she has gotten and more she’s been able to do the happier she gets

Paige is 9 Months!

*She weighs 21 pounds 1 ounce and is 28.5 inches

*She says “yeah yeah” and “dada.” Anthony thinks that sometimes she calling me when she says “yeah yeah”

*Crawls even faster now and often with toys in her mouth

*She has two top teeth giving her 4 total

*She enjoys playing Peekaboo and I’ll Get You (we chase her and she crawls away)

*Spent the night at Aunt Julia’s apartment at her college

*She eats more of the food that we’re eating

*Graham and Reed have started calling her “Sweetie” and she responds to it now

*Her favorite toys include paper and plastic bags

*It finally snowed and she got to play in it and eat it too

Paige is 8 Months!

*She crawls all over and pulls up

*She loves her veggies and fruit

*She waves

*She enjoys swinging on the swing set

*She sits on her own in the bathtub

*She celebrated her first Christmas. It was much different for us to have a crawling baby that likes to eat wrapping paper (G and R were much younger for their first Christmases).

Paige is 7 Months!

*She has started crawling with her belly on the floor and occasionally gets up on all her knees to crawl

*Learned to clap

*She had the stomach bug right before Thanksgiving. Thankfully it only last for a day or two and she recovered quickly. It was a contagious bug that got everyone sick except GG. It made for an interesting holiday!

*She still loves her baby food and enjoys vegetables more than fruit! Squash and sweet potatoes are still a favorite and now puffs are too.

*We spent the night at the Witt’s and she had an awful nights sleep. We’re reconsidering a trip to FL we have planned in January. The 5 of us in a hotel room with the possibility of her not sleeping at night might be a bad idea (not to mention the 10+ hour drive).

Paige is 6 Months!

At 6 months Paige-

-sits independently, although loves reaching for toys just out of her reach so she still falls over often

-puts everything in her mouth and loves to play with her toys either on the floor or in the hopper or saucer

-has her two bottom teeth

-says “ahhhh” pretty regularly and at times it really sounds like she is being a monster. Gotta love the brotherly influence in her life!

-is a chunk! Gone are her dainty legs. She now has huge thighs just like her brothers did! She weighs around 17 pounds and wears a size 3 diaper. Her clothes are mostly size 9 months and some 12 months.

-celebrated her half birthday at the doctor with her first sickness- a slight ear infection and croup. She handled it well but still has a deep raspy voice and cry.

-she naps 2-3 times a day in her crib or on the go in her car seat or stroller. She sleeps well most nights and gets up around 5 am to eat and goes back to sleep. Most mornings don’t begin at the same time so I’ve started waking her up around 8 so there is a chance for the three to nap at the same time in the afternoon (most days it doesn’t happen). Bedtime has gotten late again (9 or later some nights) but some of that might be our schedule more than her’s.

-loves her baby food. Applesauce was her first food and she has also had avocado, banana, pears, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, oatmeal, and prunes. Sweet potatoes and butternut squash are her favorites. I’ve been making some of her food with the baby bullet but when she tried oatmeal and bananas she almost threw up. Guess they weren’t smooth enough for her!

Aunt Dee sent her a beautiful quilt that has several nursery rhymes embroidered on it.

The monkey costume has been worn by all three.

Paige is 5 Months!

At 5 months Paige-

-rolls both ways and at times will roll around the room

-enjoys the hopper and saucer

-sits at the table in the booster seat

-is still working on sitting independently

-plays in the nursery on sun morning during service and is an honorary Puggles member during Awana since she is the only nursery aged child there

-misses G and R when they are at preschool

-put herself on a predictable eat play sleep routine although the times r never the same

-has had noticeable hair growth and chunky thighs

My Birthday!

I celebrated my 31st birthday while we were in NY. I got to go shopping and if I remember correctly only took 1 child with me!  We had a great steak dinner, opened gifts and had a peanut butter brownie trifle for dessert. It was a great day!

 

Oh and Graham took most of the pictures!

The day was topped off with a family picture that turned out pretty nice!

August 2012

We spent 2 weeks in August visiting my family in NY

Hiking

We enjoyed a gorgeous weekend outside with my aunts, cousin, and Grandfather! It had been a couple of years since we saw Aunt Lisa and Grandpa and Aunt Gail and Megan had never met Reed or Paige. Always thankful when we get to spend time together!

We went to the beach a couple of times to play and swim

We got to meet Luke and spend several days with his mom and big brother. He and Paige got along really well!

The bears that came with the pack an play mobile were boring so Anthony decided to hang some cat toys for P (and apparently R too) to play with

GG’s toys are always fun to paly with

We loved spending time with our family!

We got home from NY around 6pm and the boys had their first day of preschool the next morning at 7:45! They go twice a week from 7:45-2:00. P and I enjoy Tue mornings at home (although she misses them) and we got to Community Bible Study about 30 min away on Thurs. I thought I’d get a nice break while they were gone but baby’s are a lot of work

G sang with the kids choir one Sunday morning which was a big deal for him (he’s been known to go to rehearsals and then refuse to go on stage for the performance).
