We officially completed our childbirth classes tonight. I guess this means we are now ready for the big day, although I don't know if it is possible to be completely "ready." We learned a lot and I obviously have my ideas on how I would like the labor and delivery to go, but we'll see how it all turns out. My mom shared Psalm 71:6 with me last week and it's helping me keep the whole thing in the proper perspective:
By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
The Lord is the One who is in control of this baby's delivery. It's helpful to remember that, just like everything else in life, my plans are not always His plans. I need to trust Him and not the plan that I have in mind. I'm glad He is in control of it all and am excited to see how the whole thing unfolds.
