A Day Late

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry I am a day late getting this post up. I wanted to share the points from Sunday's sermon and then let you know what our church is going to be doing this year.

The sermon focused on the Bible and Mark encouraged us to:

1. Recognize what we are reading- it is THE Word of God making it unlike any other book ever written and it is living (Hebrews 4:12) which enables it to stir passion within us and also convict us of right and wrong.

2. Affirm it's inerrancy- we must accept that the Bible is true (John 17:17)

3. Believe what you read

4. Read the Bible

5. Memorize Scripture- by doing this it will help with our personal holiness, happiness, and guide us as we pray

Now Mark challenged the congregation to commit to reading through the Bible this year chronologically and his sermon's on Sunday night will be taken from the text that we've read that week. It was such a blessing to see so many people commit to doing this Sunday morning. I know it's going to be more work than I am used to. I'm looking forward to seeing the blessings God has in store for us personally as well as corporately as we set out to do this together.

Press control and click here for the order that we will be reading it. We'd love for you to join us too!! If you've never read the Bible before, I encourage you to give it a try. It is a life changing book :)
