In today's reading I was reminded about how great Heaven is going to be. Mark's message on Sunday was a Biblical look at Heaven, focusing mainly on Revelation 21-22. The media certainly does a great job of portraying it as a place where we'll have wings, sitting around on clouds playing harps, and eating bagels with Philadelphia cream cheese. It is going to be so much better than that!!!

1. God will be the centerpiece- We'll finally get to see Him face to face and no longer have live by faith because we will behold Him in all of His glory!!

2. God will be the light- God will be our light, so there will not be anymore literal darkness.

3. Pain, sin, and death will be gone- Since we will be in the presence of the Lord, there will not be anymore darkness in the form of sin. We will also experience perfection beyond imagination in our bodies and in the place we live.

4. The Tree of Life and River of Life will both be open to us
- In explaining this point, I was especially blessed by Revelation 22:17- The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. In living in the constant battle of more month than money, it's nice to know that if the struggle does not end here, at least we won't have to deal with it for all of eternity :)

If you're not confident that you are going to Heaven, please get in touch with me. I'd love to share with you how you can know without a shadow of doubt that you will get to spend eternity in a place beyond anything we could ever imagine. I know I want to see you there!!
