His Own Idea

Graham walked up to me this morning and said,
"We should make some cookies and bring them to Mrs. V (our neighbor)."
I was so excited that he came up with this on his own
that I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
We worked together to make some chocolate chip cookies.
We'll deliver them when he wakes up from his nap.

We've had some difficult days as of late
concerning his behavior and love for the word "no,"
so this thoughtful act certainly made my day!
