Paige’s Dedication

We dedicated Paige on Mother’s Day.  It was extra special because my mom was here (our parents miss out on many of the special events because of how far away we are from each other).  We had Pastor Mark read Proverbs 31:30:

Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!

There are many verses we could have picked for her, but I really wanted one that spoke to the fact that Paige is a girl and will one day be a woman.  I thought this fit perfectly with our hope and prayer that she will find satisfaction in a life surrendered to God, seeking to know and obey Him and His word rather than trying to find it in her appearance or other worldly ways.  Now we depend on God to show us how to raise her so this can be true in her life.
