He wouldn't drink the Pedialite, but did drink some water from a bottle without the nipple on it. Our nurse thought it was funny and said she had never seen anything like that. You can also see two of his many battle wounds from the day. They stuck him in both hands, both feet, and both arms before getting the IV in.
After they finally got the IV into his left arm, they covered it with a cast-like thing. He quickly learned to play with one hand!
