My Tribute was one of the songs we heard at the Community Hymn Sing. I really enjoyed it because To God Be The Glory has always been one of my favorite hymns. I also liked the fact that Melinda Doolittle was the one who sang it!
Another beautiful song we heard played by the symphony was Simple Gifts which brought back memories from high school. I'm pretty sure I sang it when I was in choir. Amanda might have to correct me if I'm wrong on that!!
These are the lyrics that go along with Simple Gifts:
'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free,
'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gain'd,
To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd,
To turn, turn will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come round right.

We sure did sing Simple Gifts somewhere at some point! I love this song to...it is calming and refreshing. Thanks for reminding me of it :)
Hope you guys are well. I just love the updates!
Mark and I are off to parts unknown at the end of this week. We're hoping to get somewhere warm (and hopefully somewhere cheap too!) for 5 days or so.
Love to you- Amanda
