Music to my ears

"Mommy, I have to go potty!"

Yep! We finally took the plunge this weekend. No more diapers and I think this time it is going to work! We set out Wed afternoon to go to Cookeville (30 min away) to buy some new underpants. It ended up raining so hard that we got half way there and had to turn around and go home. Of course this messed up my plan of starting the no more diapers on Thurs, but in the end I was able to take Graham by himself (the farthest I've traveled without Reed since he was born) Thurs morning to pick some out. He ended up with a Pixar pack that includes Cars, Toy Story, and Mr. Incredible. We put them on when we got home and started the training. He had several accidents in the first 24 hours, but as of today (3 days in) he did not have any. He is wearing pull ups to sleep in and he wore them to church. However, this morning he would not go for the nursery workers, but tonight I got him to go before Mission Friends and then he went again when he got home meaning he was dry the whole time he was out of the house! I've been totally shocked at his progress. He now tells us when he needs to go and can do it all by himself. He's even putting his underpants and shorts back on after he finishes. I'm so proud of him. We do need to work on #2, because he refuses to go on the potty for that. It will come and hopefully posting this doesn't make him regress :)
