My mom came up with this recipe years ago. It's a favorite on Apple Harvest Salad, Spinach Feta Salad, and Italian Salad (lettuce, veggies of choice, pepperoni, green olives, sunflower seeds, apples and/or raisins). It also makes a great marinade for chicken or beef.
My Mom's Balsamic Vinaigrette
3/4c oil
1/3c balsamic vinegar
1 tsp garlic poweder
1tsp oregano
1/4 tsp pepper
2 1/2 T sugar
Combine together in a glass jar. Cover and shake. Make several hours in advance to enhance flavors. This recipe makes enough dressing for 4+ entree sized salads.
